How to reach Alpe Colombé
It is a secluded location, with a spectacular view over the valley and the Grandes Murailles!
Direct access to the cross-country skiing trail and hiking trails.
In the Western Alps, at 1,900 m above sea level, at the foot of the Matterhorn
At 4 km from Valtournenche downtown (Aosta Valley), located at Champlève
It can be reached EXCLUSIVELY ON FOOT or with skis (cross-country or ski touring) or snowshoes with a simple 10-min work.
It can’t be reached by car: only the owners are allowed to carry luggage at the guests’ arrival and departure and for maintenance.
Ski-in ski-out with cross-country or ski touring skis!
Put on your cross-country or ski touring skis to reach Alpe Colombé. The Champlève cross-country ski trail passes in front of the chalet and stretches for about 7 km.
The downhill skiing area is just a stone’s throw away!
The return ski slope is at 1.5 km from Alpe Colombé: there is a parking lot and the possibility to get in the slope. It can also be reached on skis, off-piste or along the road (for cars).
The departure of the ski lifts is in Valtournenche, at La Glaea, 4 km from Alpe Colombé.

Whichever season you visit Alpe Colombé, there are two easy routes to reach the cabin: the choice is yours! We will advise you, shortly before your arrival, on the best alternative, depending on weather and route conditions.

We offer a luggage and shopping transport service by 4×4 or snowmobile in winter included in your stay, exclusively on arrival and departure. More details will be provided at the time of booking.
